Background:
The Swan Ball is a white-tie gala, one of the premier charity events in the United States, attended by 850 prominent middle Tennesseans and their guests. The Ball benefits - and is held on the grounds of - Cheekwood Botantical Garden and Museum of Art. Each year, the Ball includes an auction to raise additional funds for Cheekwood. In 2010, Swan Ball needed to increase awareness of this auction for an event that was a month earlier than usual.

Solution:
A comprehensive brand plan was designed and implemented to create all new materials for the 2010 event. Swan Ball’s color palette, historical presence, and existing logo ideas were transformed into a more contemporary, stylized design to match the Ball’s 2010 theme. The website was redesigned and an email campaign was created to market auction items. A printed and mailed auction guide, dinner program and display boards were made using materials that were uniquely shaped and visually consistent with the Swan Ball 2010 brand.

Result:
The brand was a fresh modern look, email campaigns had high open rates, and more importantly, the cost of printing and production was thirty percent less than years’ past. S.Gambill Design continues to work with Swan Ball for their 2011 event.
